It's not a new concept. Boy bands have been coming and going regularly as cute, young boys come of age on the stage with synchronized steps and high-pitched singing that has the girls screaming and crying for more. With hits like Burnin' Up, When You Look Me In The Eyes, Hold On and S.O.S., the Jonas Brothers are more than just another cute boy band. Check the headlines and you'll find the names of the Jonas Brothers being tossed around with the Grammys and MTV. Many of the magazines and tabloids posted up pictures of the recently married Jonas brother, to the disappointment of many female fans around the world.
Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas and the three brothers who form the Jonas Brothers. The year was 2005 when the brothers first took the world by storm with their charming good looks, wholesome family values and Christian upbringing. The world at large embraced their music and their refreshing ideology, including when they took vows to abstain from sex until marriage and to avoid the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs.
Youngest brother Nick has embarked on the Nick Jonas & The Administration Tour, a solo act apart from the other two brothers but this is no indication that the trio has broken up or that they will not perform together again. The group's Lines, Vines and Trying Times album debuted at #1 and produced the second #1 debut for them in 10 months. Their ability to combine smart lyrics and a sound something like the Beetles keeps pushing these talented young men to the top of the charts.
According to those who have had the pleasure of seeing the Jonas Brothers perform live, the concerts are even more brilliant than the CDs that disappear off the shelves in a hurry. Many fans rush to get tickets to the concerts to witness the Jonas Brothers in action. Although the trio also appear on television in children's programming, those who have seen them performing live say there is simply nothing that compares to seeing the Jonas Brothers in concert. Proof of the popularity can be garnered from the fact that the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 sold almost 1 million tickets in just the first week alone.
The tour took to the road and played in venues across North America and moved on South America in the spring where 200,000 screaming fans rushed to see the Jonas Brothers in action. In the fall, the Jonas Brothers headed to Europe and gave phenomenal performances to sold-out crowds in London, Paris and Madrid. Honor Society and Jordin Sparks were guests on the tour which also sold out at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and in New York. At the same time, the Jonas Brothers received their first Grammy nomination.
To date, the Jonas Brothers have sold more than 8 million albums and received many awards including Kids' Choice, American Music Award and Teen Choice. Their albums have also obtained 36 platinum and gold certifications. With clever social media websites like Facebook and Twitter at the ready, the Jonas Brothers have created quite the excitement for their fans by keeping in contact through these websites leading up to and during their concert tours.
The future is looking bright for the Jonas Brothers. Brother Joe Jonas has not officially released any information yet but has eluded to the possibility of also putting out a solo album like younger brother Nick has. How did Captain Nixon show the Army Values in the Band of Brothers series?
Army Values are Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage. I need anyone help please because I got to turn in a paper for my JROTC class tomorrow about Captain Lewis Nixon on the Band of Brother series so please give me alot of true facts about him as far as the Army Values. Thanks
I'm not sure he was the best example of that. His drinking caused him to drop the ball in the duty category once by getting "fired" from his battalion position. Another time, he got drunk, broke a window to pillage a bottle of Scotch(?) which not good in the honor category. Other than those incidents, he was OK. I liked the character. Winters would make a better example of Army values.
I have a feeling you were supposed to see the series for yourself. There might a lesson in integrity there somewhere. Just sayin'.
