Don't Go After Heavy Artillery at First

 

It is tempting when you first begin playing Mafia Wars to go out and spend your money on weapons and armour. There are lots of great powerful guns, armour and even vehicles that are beefed up and look like they will help you. They will help you but not so much early on. You are not ready for the big guns yet. That will come in time. As you get play of the game you will come across and ascertain all the equipment you want to help you be successful. Don't Engage in Every Opportunity to Fight

 

By the type of the game there will be lots of opportunities to fight your opposition. This can happen even at the earlier stages of Mafia Wars. If you are attacked it is best to turn the other cheek and wait to fight back another time when you are strong and more prepared. If you wait to fight until later in the game when you are stronger, you will be more likely to win most fights. If you fight early on you will lose in most cases.

Save Save Save-- Especially GodFather Points

 

As you play the game you will start to accumulate what is called "godfather points." These are valuable and are not easy to come by. Just like spending money early on, try not to use these points early in the game as well. Your god father points will become much more valuable and useful to you if you save them for use much later in the game.

Grow Your Empire by Recruiting

 

The simplest method to succeed quickly in the game is to have as many people in your mafia as possible. You can have up to 500 people join your mafia. The faster and larger you grow your group, the more successful you will be. Start by recruiting everyone on your friend list. Be sure to share with them how much fun the game is, so they become excited. After that you may require to branch out and begin recruiting from others that you understand that aren't yet a friend, but this would imply it is time to do so.

How would you evaluate the performance of the Continental Army in the early battles of the war?

Poor.

First, the early battles were not really fought by the Continental Army, they were fought by quickly formed militias. They had little training in fighting in an organized manner and each guy pretty much did his own thing.

Second, most of the time when they encountered the British Army they were out numbered. They just had not had time to organize into big fighting units.

Third, the British Army at the time was the best army in Europe. When you had it moving forward in an organized manner it was enough to get most of the militias retreating before the fighting really started.

It was not until General Washington got them organized as a regular Army that they started having some success against the British.
