What is SELF-IMAGE?
Self-image is how you see yourself and how you believe others perceive you. If you have a poor opinion of yourself, your self-esteem will be low. The way you conceive yourself is important as it will affect your thinking, your mannerism and your relationship with others. People will respond to you positively or negatively depending on how confident you are; your confidence depends on the image you have of yourself.
It is vital that you understand yourself by recognizing your strengths and weaknesses. Accepting yourself and making the best of who you are helps you to boost up your self-confidence and your self-image.
Teens are greatly influenced by media and some teens struggle with their self-image. They tend to compare themselves with people around them or with actors and celebrities they see on television, in movies or in magazines.
Some people are so focused on what others think about them and this affects their self-esteem. They try to live up to the expectation of others and in the process lose their identity and personality.
We are constantly faced with challenges in life that can discourage us! Keeping your focus on the good things that you do and the positive aspects of your life can change how you feel about yourself. Building up your self-image takes effort, energy and it is not achieved overnight!
True beauty comes from deep within. Everybody should cherish and love themselves for who and what they are. Beauty comes in various forms. Self-image and confidence glows from within.
In order to succeed in life, you need to feel confident both inside and outside. Just as you have to accept yourself for who you are on the inside, you need to recognize that your body is your own, regardless of the shape, size and colour of your skin.
Make the best of who you are….there is only ONE of you and we are all special in our own unique way!

What is the most defensive form of self defense?
I'd like to learn a form of self defense, but I want to know which one is the most defensive of the bunch. I want to focus on blocks, dodges, and possibly counters. There is no reason I want a really defensive form other then I think it would best suit me. Any help is much appreciated.
The best defensive form is Sprinting.
