Sari/saree
A sari/saree is one of the most elegant female garments a woman can wear. A beautifully draped sari makes a woman look graceful and attractive. Sari is a traditional garment of women from the Indian subcontinent. It is a long piece of unstitched cloth and can vary in length from approx. four to six metres. What makes dressing up in a sari interesting is the fact that it can be draped in a number of styles.
Women in most of the subcontinent countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka wear a sari in different ways. Over the years, various ways of draping a sari has evolved as a result of the fusion of different regional practices and western influences. One of the most common ways to drape a sari is to wrap it around the waist with one end of the sari being draped over the shoulder.
A sari can be made of different types of materials like silk, cotton and various other blends. Hand made saris with intricate designs are usually expensive. Nowadays, figurative ornaments are also created to complement the sari fabric.
Saris have gone global in recent times, with its fans existing in all parts of the world. Indian saris with exquisite designing and geometry are popular. Bright coloured saris and are a rage amongst youngsters as a fashion statement.
There are lots of information available on youtube and on internet regarding how to wear saree. Sarees/saris can be worn as a readymade saree only if it is properly stiched as a skirt with scarf attached. In west lots of people prefer to have readymade blouse which comes in different styles, some has embroidery at the back of blouse and some fully embroided. Saree/sari has to be worn over petticoat (underskirt) only with drawstring not elastic.

I'm planning on selling my Grandmother's mink coat, but have no idea what it's worth! Help?
Hey guys, and thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question! I'm no authority on fur coats, but I'm left with my grandmother's full length mink coat to sell, and was wondering if any of you may know around what range I should price the coat. I know she bought it from May Company for around $2,000 in the 1980s. It's in excellent condition, is lined with a nice elaborate design, and has her initials "V.R." embroidered in a beautiful design on the inside. I took it a furrier, and this all I know about it:

• Lunaraine
• Fully Let-Out
• Stand Up Collar
• Straight Sleeve
• Elastic Cuff
• (the furrier also said "to - 43in long", but I'm not sure what that meant)

used fur, like 20 years old, usually sell for 10 to 20% of their original price. unless they have a big designer name on them, which is not the case of yours.
i would try ebay it for 400 (maybe a auction starting at 200).
