The device is the "Sistema Javy": it's an exclusive wheelchair with a lift included on his back.
It's a revolutionary solution for accessibility and transfer of disabled persons even in space extremely restricted. The "Sistema Javy" is internationally distributed by "Podo Ortesi Medical Srl", an Italian company located in Naples.
This innovative device is worldwide patented and it's in compliance with all European legislations.
As a standard wheelchair, the "Sistema Javy" is perfectly compact and get easily into restricted spaces even if it has a mechanical lift on his back. The lifting device is always on hand and it operates by using an easy winch and a jib which acts also as an useful adjustable headrest.
Moreover, the incorporated lift can be easily removed from the wheelchair just by extracting a pin, so that the wheelchair can be used also in the "conventional" way.
The lifting device is based on a winch which allows the assistant to raise the patient outside of the wheelchair.
