Argentina is a beautiful South American country and home to tango…and birthplace of Eva Peron, First Lady of Argentina in the 1940s and 1950s…and Diego Armando Maradona, best known for his nickname "Pelusa", one of the most famous athletes in the World History.

Argentina is one of the most industrialized country’s in Latin America… The South American country is among the most stable and democratic countries in the Third World…Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, is one of the most romantic and beautiful places… is very famous for its hospitality.

This place is one of the most dynamic entertainment centers in Latin America. There are lots of theaters, fantastic tavernas restaurants and stadiums… very peaceful and historical places…The South American country has been benefited from the many infrastructure projects that were provided for the 1978 FIFA World Cup, 1990 FIBA World Cup, FIVB World Cup (1982 and 2002) and Pan American Games (1995).

Are there's any specific name for each style of ribbons on a medal?

So my question is, do these styles of ribbons have names?

Most countries tend to have a particular style which is defined by nationality and tradition as is the colours used on the ribbons.

The Order of Lenin is Russian behind this is a metal plate which holds the ribbon in this shape, former Soviet block countries since 1947 have used this particular mounting system.

In pre communist times and depending upon the history of the country, Austria-Hungary (Austro-Hungaria), Bulgaria, used ribbons folded in a triangular shape.

The Prussian State, and associated German States & Duchy's used a number of styles, the "scallop" and Court mounted way of folding the ribbons, it all depended what was in fashion at the time.

While a single medal was looped through the top button hole of the jacket on presentation, they were then fixed to a metal backing plate which varied in shapes and length to accommodate the other medals of the receipient of Rectangular shape to Trapezoid shape in steel or brass, and could carry excess ribbon folded in various ways depending again on what was fashionable at the time, this was usually dictated by what ever way the King, Emperor's or the Ruling family of the country,State etc. wore theirs.

As for a name for the individual ribbons you show as an example the answer is No, there is no specific name for the shape, collectors refer to them as Russian / Communist Style, British Parade Mounted, etc...etc...

For Andy: military collectors are very interested in the ribbons as well as the medals, the medals were not worn every day but the ribbons mounted on a small bar would be worn daily while in dress uniform, and thus the ribbon bar gives a potted history of the individuals service, there are people who collect these ribbon bars alone, these 1815 - 1919 era ribbons are very collectable and very valuable in there own right and do not need to be dismissed out of hand.
