recomend chainmail rings?
I am looking to make a chainmail hauberk. I have only a little experience working with chainmail.
What type of metal do you recomend to be clean and corrosion-resistant? also, what gauge wire and diameter rings?

It's been a while since I've done any chainmaille work, but I remember 3/8" id(interior diameter) rings made from 16 gauge wire made for a nice European 4-in-1 weave. Though I might go with a larger size for something that big.
Aluminum is probably your best bet if you want something that's going to stay new looking for years, but I did most of my work in galvanized steel. It's cheap, corrosion resistant, and readily available in large quantities, but it will change colors over time and may smudge. Stainless steel is great, but can be hard to find and is harder to cut(have you gotten any calluses yet?).
