Memorial Day, Remembering The Fallen – Part 1
As sad and hateful a war is, times come when nations are left with no choice except to put it's young men and women in the harms way. While it is still controversial, whether we should have got involved in world war two or not, we did, and our brave men and women fought the heck of a war. There is absolutely no doubt that it was impossible for allies to win the war without the involvement of United States. Germans and Japanese did and would have easily ran over every allied country, and everything and everyone in their way. That is why the biggest mistake in the war was done by Japanese by attacking Pearl Harbor. They woke up the sleeping lion and ultimately lost war, due to that mistake.
Although, some of the heroes, may not be as heroic as originally thought, our soldiers and sailors sincerely fought, sacrificed and died for the country and nation. One of those "not so heroic" was Churchill. Please read article, Declassified WWII documents reveal Churchill's inhumanity on Whatistheword.com The article reports:
"Churchill wanted ‘three for one' bombing of German villages to avenge killing of civilians in Czech villages, wanted Hitler to be executed on electric chair without a fair trail which would cause complications and he was willing to let Mahatma Gandhi die, reveals several wartime cabinet documents pertaining to World War II which were recently declassified.
After the massacre of Czech civilians in the village Lidice north of Prague in 1942, Churchill proposed the RAF to wipe out three villages in retaliation for massacre in every one, according to these document.
Clement Attlee, then the dominions secretary and later to become the Labor prime minister maintained it unwise to enter into competition in frightfulness with the Germans.
He is also noted to have proposed the execution of Hitler ‘like a gangster' on a electric chair borrowed from America if the Fuehrer were to be caught alive by British troops.
The National Archives at Kew, south-west London made these notes public.
Regarding the execution of Hitler, Churchill is noted by Sir Normal to have said, Contemplate that if Hitler falls into our hands we shall certainly put him to death.
Churchill is noted to have agreed that Hitler's trial would be ‘a farce,' going to add that ‘all sorts of complications ensue as soon as you admit a fair trial.
The ruthlessness of Churchill becomes evident in these notes where he is noted to have said that if the Nazis began murdering British prisoners, German POWs captured by British should be shot.
After Mahatma Gandhi went on a hunger in 1942 protesting the involvement of Indian soldiers in the war against Hitler, Churchill proposed to let him die, stating that the Indian leader be treated at par with other prisoners.
It is believed that at a time when Britain and its ally the US are being blamed for wartime atrocities, these revelations would help win over world opinion in their favor."
Now, there is little or no doubt left about the fact that FDR knew and actually encouraged the Japanese to attack on Pearl Harbor. Please, refer to the article,
[removed][removed] [removed][removed] PEARL HARBOR
MOTHER OF ALL CONSPIRACIES
on Whatreallyhappened.com The article is full of historical facts and references. It mentions:
""…everything that the Japanese were planning to do was known to the United States…" ARMY BOARD, 1944
FDR needed the attack to sucker Hitler to declare war, since the public and Congress were overwhelmingly against entering the war in Europe. It was his backdoor to war.
FDR blinded the commanders at Pearl Harbor and set them up by -
- denying intelligence to Hawaii (HI)
- on Nov 27, misleading the commanders into thinking negotiations with Japan were continuing to prevent them from realizing the war was on
- having false information sent to HI about the location of the Japanese carrier fleet.
BACKGROUND
- 1904 – The Japanese destroyed the Russian navy in a surprise attack in undeclared war.
- 1932 – In The Grand Joint Army Navy Exercises the attacker, Admiral Yarnell, attacked with 152 planes a half-hour before dawn 40 miles NE of Kahuku Point and caught the defenders of Pearl Harbor completely by surprise. It was a Sunday.
- 1938 – Admiral Ernst King led a carrier-born air strike from the USS Saratoga successfully against Pearl Harbor in another exercise.
- 1940 – FDR ordered the fleet transferred from the West Coast to its exposed position in Hawaii and ordered the fleet remain stationed at Pearl Harbor over complaints by its commander Admiral Richardson that there was inadequate protection from air attack and no protection from torpedo attack.
- 7 Oct 1940 – Navy IQ analyst McCollum wrote an 8 point memo on how to force Japan into war with US. Beginning the next day FDR began to put them into effect and all 8 were eventually accomplished.
- 11 November 1940 – 21 aged British planes destroyed the Italian fleet, including 3 battleships, at their homeport in the harbor of Taranto in Southern Italy by using technically innovative shallow-draft torpedoes.
- 11 February 1941 – FDR proposed sacrificing 6 cruisers and 2 carriers at Manila to get into war. Navy Chief Stark objected: "I have previously opposed this and you have concurred as to its un wisdom.
- March 1941 – FDR sold munitions and convoyed them to belligerents in Europe — both acts of war and both violations of international law — the Lend-Lease Act.
- 23 Jun 1941 – Advisor Harold Ickes wrote FDR a memo the day after Germany invaded the Soviet Union, "There might develop from the embargoing of oil to Japan such a situation as would make it not only possible but easy to get into this war in an effective way.
- 14 August – At the Atlantic Conference, Churchill noted the "astonishing depth of Roosevelt's intense desire for war."
[removed][removed] Pearl Harbor – Mother of All Conspiracies [removed][removed]
- 18 October – diary entry by Secretary of Interior Harold Ickes: "For a long time I have believed that our best entrance into the war would be by way of Japan."
CODES
- Purple Code – the top Japanese diplomatic machine cipher which used automatic telephone switches to separately and differently encipher each character sent.
- J-19 was the main Japanese diplomatic code book.
- JN-25 – The Japanese Fleet's Cryptographic System, a.k.a. 5 number code.

I have a friend that was just promoted to "CHIEF" in the Navy. How much salary do they get in this position?
I am interested to know how much Chiefs make in the Navy...Anyone out there know this info for me?
Thanks ahead of time....
Sue G.
La vic star, you gave him the 2006 tables. They change every year, and this year they changed twice.
You can always ask your friend to look at his LES(leave and earning statement). If you don't want to this is how base pay breaks down for F07
E-7 under 2 years-2339.10
2 years-2553.00
3 years-2650.80
4 years-2780.70
6 years-2881.50
8 years-3055.20
10 years-3152.70
These changed as of 4/1/07
12 years-3312.00
14 years-3455.10
16 years-3553.20
18 years-3593.70
20 years-3644.10
22 years-3814.80
24 years-3925.20
26 years-4204.20
This does not inlcude BAS(food allowance), Sea Pay(goes up periodically base on number of total years you have been attached to a sea going command) , Sub Pay(only given to submariners), Hazardous Duty Pay(which includes demolition, flight deck, crew memeber flight, non crew member flight, and parachute jumping), Immenent Danger Pay, Foreign Duty Pay(if you are stationed overseas), Diving Duty Pay(qualified and assigned to a billet where you perform diving duties),Overseas Extention Pay, Med Pay(medical or optical docs),Nurse Pay, Family Seperation Allowance, Clothing Allowance, Adoption Expense Reimbursement, SRB(bonuses for reinlisting), and Pro-pay(nuclear rates). If you want the amounts for each go to
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/militarypay/l/blpayallowance.htm
Some of these are taxable and some are not. It all depends on what he does, where he does it, and how long he has been in the Navy as to how much you make. When you make E-7 also, you don't start getting paid for it for a while. So even if he is wearing an E-7 crow, doesn't mean he's getting the money for it yet. Especially since the results just came out today!
