Germany have commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp
The liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp in the 66 years anniversary, the Federal Government of Germany in Berlin and the Polish Auschwitz Museum Council held a ceremony on the day of the year for this special memory, reflection and repentance.
January 27, 1945, the Soviet Red Army in Poland's Auschwitz concentration camp, where thousands of the liberation of the Nazi Holocaust survivors. Since 1996, the day was set up in Germany as the anniversary of the Nazi Holocaust victims. The auspices of the Federal Council, Xilamaite in a memorial in Berlin, said, "as the descendants of those Germans we guarantee that we will never forget the shock of history gives us, we will leave memories, and in the future and learn from it."
Survivors from the concentration camp in Lower Saxony, Roma Joma were invited to the Federal Parliament memorial lecture, this is the first time representatives of Roma Gypsy and has appeared in such occasions. At the same time, German President Wulff went to Poland to participate in the liberation of Auschwitz, where the ceremony. In the Da Bolan, he and Polish President came together Komorowski Auschwitz memorial ceremony and to participate in the discussion with young people of Poland and Germany, and died in Auschwitz commemoration of the wall At that time the victim was shot, and participated in the incinerator near the site of religious prayer at the ceremony. Wulff said the face of television cameras: "I would like to state clearly that Auschwitz is a cruel place. We Germans continue to bear the responsibility of history, this should make the correct conclusion."
Between 1942-1945, the German Nazis killed in the Auschwitz concentration camp 110 million square people, mostly Jews, in addition to including Poles, Soviet soldiers captured, Gypsy and Romans and so on.

Why did Nazi Germany promote the aryan (master race) as having blue eyes and blond hair?
First off, German people tend to be of slavic descent (most slavs have darker hair). Hitler was reported to have blue eyes, but quite dark hair.
And, what was wrong with Red hair and Green eyes. Red hair is almost exclusively Northern European, and probably in most cases people with red hair have the fairest skin tone.
Is it exaggerated how much emphasis Nazi Germany put on blond hair and blue eyes?
It was very much exaggerated as you mentioned, it was propaganda to stop other Northern European countries feeling a kinship with the germans and to distance them from everyone else. As you say most Europeans have brown hair. Hitler of course himself had very dark hair, although their was rumours that he was grey and it dyed.
