Keeping God in Remembrance: But Man is an Ungrateful Beast

We find ourselves on a planet. Vast for us as ants' nest. Our planet, viewed from outer space within our galaxy, is a tiny small spot hardly seen. We live as atoms on the head of a pin.

Moving at one thousand five hundred Km every second at the edge of the Milky Way. We rotate around ourselves and around the sun.

No one knows who the hell is running the show?

 We live amongst two million living species, not counting the flora species and microscopic creatures, if the calculation is up to date.

Every species has its characteristic features. Every species has its life cycle. Every species has its way of life. Every species generates its own progeny keeping the exact same characteristics and features.

WE ALL share the same conditions of survival.

Water, air, food, sun and minerals as well as substances that keep us alive.

The sun provides us with energy. Its absence causes annihilation of life within few days if not hours. Everything freezes. If the sun comes closer to earth we are burned out instantly. It must keep its distance and the right one at that.

But Man is forgetful of these facts.

Should the earth speeds up its velocity then we are catapulted into outer space. Should it slow down we will be stuck on its surface unable to move.

But Man is forgetful of these facts.

If the earth's temperature one to one hundred degrees below zero everything freezes and life perishes. If the world temperature goes up to one hundred degrees everything boils and life is extinguished immediately.

No man maintains the earth's temperature in its surviving condition. No one individual can claim that he, or she, has brought about these conditions.

But man is forgetful of the cause, of the creator, of the big Architect.

He does see him.

Everything is provided.

So, why should he think of all these things?

Other Planets

Other planets and stars do not have, signs of living creatures as the earth. These have no atmospheric conditions of survival like our planet. If man is on the moon or Mars he is bound to have the astronaut kit for survival. No water signs yet discovered.

No survival conditions for our species is discovered.

Only our planet has these conditions.

But Man is forgetful of that

We live on our planet and everything is provided for us: oxygen, water, food.

But Man is forgetful of all that.

 We preoccupy ourselves with our family, how to earn money, how to accumulate possessions, how to amuse ourselves forgetting the sources of very living.

We have no time to think for ourselves.

Think of how much money we need to buy a flat, or a house, to buy a car and where are we going to spend our next holiday.

We pass our time scraping for few more Dollars in order to live better.

Parents are preoccupied with their children; the rich with acquiring more wealth; politicians with attaining better position and more power.

But we have no time to think of the one who provides us with everything.

For Man is forgetful

Man is forgetful intentionally for he is ungrateful.

Man is forgetful on purpose for he does not see a Provider with his own eyes.

Maybe there is maybe not.

But how come we are there?

How come we find ourselves on this planet?

How come we are what we are?

The scientist is busy with his discoveries; the artist is busy with his artistic creation; the fisher with fishing and the bureaucrat with his office papers.

They have no time to think of a creator.

Why should they think of a creator?

After all they have their digs. They eat in their homes. They drive their cars. They spend the evening watching televion.

There is no need to think of a creator.

But man is forgetful of the facts.

Man knows very well that they had nothing to do with their own creation.

A man plants his sperm in the womb of his mate and then the operation unfolds naturally, automatically.

Neither the father nor the mother has to interfere with pregnancy and the development of the fetus.

The baby develops in shape, form and color, acquiring the same genetic charter of his parents to develop into the original parental form and shape.

Parents do not have to do anything in this.

They only wait for the baby to mature and come into this world.

But man is forgetful of this fact.

Then a baby develops alone into a man adult and mature and the parents watch only its development. He speaks, he eats, he sleeps, just like they do, and like everybody else.

But man is forgetful of all that.

 Parents don't have to provide their child with eyes to see, or ears to hear or tongue to talk, or nose to smell, or feet to walk, or hands to grasp, or brain to think.

All is PROVIDED,

But man is forgetful of all that.

No one word of thank you God for all this.

No one word of appreciation of what the creator provides.

Nothing, utter silence.

Most of the time no appreciation none whatsoever.

For Man is forgetful, intentionally forgetful.

He turns away to his work, his family and his friends, his television, the nearest bar, or cinema.

He is every busy, Busy indeed.

And why should he be thankful?

Everything is provided.

But Man is an Ungrateful Beast

What would have to be your most memorable childhood experience that you could never forget for some reason?

Mine had to be when I was with my mom and sister and this small family friends of ours and we were at some beach next to a hotel where up till this day I remember it vividly like a really calm nice dream where it felt like I was in heaven. Being only 2, I would play and walk around ont he beach and we would just walk up and down the shore in which during this season noone was there and it was just us. Very dreamlike yet I can never forget it.

Sunday dinners at Mothers house. Lots of family; boisterous, all talking at the same time. I never noticed, my husband pointed it out to me. Big platters of sliced tomatoes from the garden. Chicken and gravy. Fried potatos or potatoe salad. Hot coffee and iced tea any time of the year. Always food and fellowship. Always checkers or domino games goin. Card games. Good times. Laughter. Singing...In a safe loving home. The most perfectly happy times of my life.
