How to Deal with Office Pressure on a Daily Basis
There are different sources of pressure once you work. It doesn't matter if you're working at home or in an office. There's the overdemanding boss, micromanaging supervisor, gossiping colleagues, endless deadlines, and a whole lot more. It's not surprising when you end up feeling so burned out and stressed.
However, as much as possible, you want to avoid it. In case you don't know, a huge percentage of diseases, including the chronic and the degenerative ones, are caused by extensive stress. So how do you actually deal with it? Learn some ideas:
1. Focus on the job. Develop a list of priorities, focusing on those that require immediate attention or action. Avoid chitchatting too much. When you get to use your time well, you don't have to bring your workload at home. There's even a chance you can finish your work early and relax for the remainder of the day.
2. Stretch. Just because you're sitting in your workstation for several hours doesn't mean you cannot exercise. Simple stretches will already do. You can already move your muscles and burn some calories without doing too much. Stretching doesn't have to take a lot of your time too.
3. Talk things over. Get rid of all the pent-up emotions. Share your feelings with a friend or a family member right after work. You will realize you are actually getting rid of excess baggage.
4. Meditate. Meditation can be such a huge benefit for those who are under office stress. For one, it boosts immune system. It relaxes the muscles, relieving you of the early signs of stress and pressure. It also increases happy hormones and reduces anxiety and depression. Most of all, it declutters your mind.
You can combine meditation with subliminal messages. These types of messages have also been employed by several people who are under undue stress. Subliminal messages are a way of changing your present mind-set, from too much stressed to highly motivated and inspired. Take note of the following subliminal messages:
I can beat this stress.
I won't let stress get me.
I know how to deal with pressure.

As you recite these subliminal messages anytime of the day, you will start to feel how your anxiety and pressure subside. You will feel more confident that you can deal with office challenges on a daily basis.
5. Relax. Like other activities listed, relaxing doesn't have to eat up so much of your time. In fact, you can relax for as short as five minutes. The most important thing is the quality of relaxation. You can walk around to increase your energy, look at a therapeutic color such as green or pink, massage your hands and shoulders, or just close your eyes momentarily and make yourself the center of your universe.
You should not allow stress to take hold of you. The moment you do that, you will become irrational, prone to breakdown, unhealthy, and unproductive. Learn to combat it with the above-mentioned ideas.
