Indian Independence on Its 61st Anniversary
An Independence Day is an annual celebration commemorating the anniversary of a nation’s assumption of independent statehood, usually after ceasing to be a colony or part of another state, more rarely after the end of a military occupation. Most countries honor their respective independence day as a national holiday and some countries or nation’s independence-date honors are contested.
India achieved independence on 15th August, 1947. Since then that particular day is being celebrated in India with a mood of festivity every year. With the advent of technology, especially the Internet, the festivity has taken a new turn. Now even the generation X is taking an active role in celebrating an independent India.
But the way the younger generation is celebrating Independence Day is quite different than the way it was celebrated earlier. Now a days Free Independence Day Greetings Cards are being distributed amongst friends and relatives to increase the sense of communalism. And with more and more greeting cards site being created it is quite common to send Indian Independence Day Ecards. Most of these card sites offer greeting cards for every occasion, and with different sections to choose from like Indian Independence Day Greeting Cards, Patriotic Ecards, 15th August Greeting Cards, the sender get more choices while sending the ecards. Moreover, the icing on the cake is that all these are free e-cards.
These ecards can be sent from any computer which can connect to the internet. And now even some of the social networking sites are also hosting such applications through which users can send free e-cards. They can be customized too and the users can put their own messages and sometimes even their own photos and music. And to top it all this whole process only takes a few minutes and the users can send those Independence Day Greeting Cards to as many people as they want. Even though the facet of celebrating the 15th August Indian-Independence Day is changing with age, the feeling of patriotism has remained the same. And this same feeling of patriotism is now being inculcated into the lifeblood of the young generation in their own language, the language of modern day technology.
